journey into your past
Want to learn more about your own family’s stories but don’t know where to start?
Have you started the process of recording your family’s history but need assistance moving forward?
We’re here to help! Turn Stone Research has been researching family histories for over 15 years. As a trained records clerk and museum historian, interpreting primary sources is my specialty. You’ll receive a bound book with photographs, maps, and copies of your family’s documents. Project scope will be based on client interest, and availability of public records.
Old family stories told in new ways
We’re fairly familiar with the adage “well-behaved women rarely make history,” but few know the intended meaning. This is not a call to act out and be remembered, but rather to remind historians to include the every day, the ordinary, and the well-behaved in their work.
Most think that only famous people and politicians want to be remembered by museums and historical societies. You don’t have to end up on a TV show to find out “who you think you are.”
SHINE LIGHT ON OLD FAMILY COLLECTIONS
Have a lot of old photographs, articles, or other ephemera from previous generations? We’d love to help you digitize and properly store these collections. Having a digital backup or organized bound book can give new life to old collections that would normally stay hidden away in storage.
